Pancakes

No telling how many thousands of pancakes we have served over 30 years at our traditional pancake super after worship on the first Sunday of every month! We start out with this recipe multiplied by 10. Sometimes I have to make more batter to feed everyone. Besides that, Brady serves pancakes to the teens at camp every summer, to Pepperdine students, to Let’s Start Talking students, and other groups. That adds up to quite a stack of pancakes! We couldn’t rival IHOP, but I estimate we’ve served somewhere around 50 thousand pancakes!

Pancakes
1 cups (150 g) flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg beaten
3 tablespoons (45 ml) oil
1 cup (2.4 dl) milk

Combine dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients and mix well. Cook on a hot griddle. Turn over when bubbles begin to pop and cook the other side until it starts to brown. Makes a dozen 6-inch (15 cm) pancakes.

we use the same batter for waffles
Pancakes
150 g de farine
1 cuillère à soupe de sucre
1 ½ cuillère à café de poudre à lever
1 cuillère à café de sel
1 œuf bien battu
45 ml d’huile
